Every June 5th since 1974, World Environment Day is celebrated around the globe to increase environmental action, and in 2020 the focus is on biodiversity -the foundation that sustains all life on earth and underwater.

Throughout the year, Valencia CF demonstrate the club's committment to the environment by carrying out initiatives and participating in actions focusing on its improvement, development and sustainability.

One of the actions this season was undertaken last October, in collaboration with Official Partner Coca-Cola. Representatives from the club, headed by Voro, participated in gathering litter from the beach at Parador del Saler, raising awareness of the fact that contamination is a problem for everybody to resolve.
That same day, Coca-Cola presented their first bottle made with plastic recovered from the sea and recycled.
